Sitabai Sangai Education Society, Anjangaon Surji
अविद्याभिदुरं ज्योतिः

Established in 1914, Sitabai Sangai Education Society has been serving the Anjangaon Surji region for over 112 years. The society was founded under the visionary leadership of its Founder President, Raisaheb Moti Sangai. It is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950, with a strong commitment to providing quality education and promoting social development.

The society runs five institutions:
1. Sitabai Sangai High School (Established: 1914)
2. Sitabai Sangai Junior College (Established: 1975)
3. Sitabai Sangai Kanya Shala (Established: 2nd November 1971)
4. Sitabai Sangai Primary School (Established: 1st August 1972)
5. Raisaheb Moti Sangai English School (Established: 2005)

With around 4,000 students, these institutions are known for consistent academic excellence, achieving nearly 100% results in SSC and HSC examinations over the past two decades. Alumni have attained prestigious positions, including IAS and other high-ranking roles through MPSC and UPSC. Several have also entered politics and served as Governors, MPs, and MLCs.

Along with academics, the society emphasizes holistic development through active participation in sports, competitive examinations, science exhibitions, and cultural activities. Students have achieved success at state and national levels across various fields.

The society is also actively engaged in social service initiatives, including blood donation drives, free medical camps, and food distribution during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Recognizing its excellence, the society’s schools have received top honors under the Mukhyamantri Mazi Shala, Sundar Shala Abhiyan, including first and second prizes at Taluka and Division levels.

The institution continues to strive towards nurturing responsible, value-based citizens and contributing positively to society.
